SO Strategy(S+O)
Make good use of London and the college’s rich cross-cultural, interdiscipline and other resources, I can do some handicraft-based contemporary art practice and utlize gender equality, cross-professional and cross-cultural concepts to create an space for dialogue , negotiate on cultural heritage, gender equality in embroidery skills, values and perceptions of innovative traditional crafts.
WO strategy (W+O)
Spend time practicing certain stitches of Chinese embroidery, and hold a dialogue space after mastering it . The members of this participatory art practice are different genders, different cultures, different countries, and different majors. Projects that increase the wider range of participants can offer countless possibilities for improving handcrafted contemporary art methods, from technical experimentation to creating spaces for dialogue between different cultural groups.
ST strategy (S+T)
At this stage, I should learn more about the pricing of traditional embroidery industry commodities and the cycle time required for manual embroidery to improve the sensitivity of the market.
WT strategy (W+T)
1. Make good use of my time to learn traditional Chinese embroidery stitches, and try embroidery in public to cultivate the ability of overcoming male chauvinism, and make more people pay attention to gender equality in the craft skills that the project focuses on.
2.Learn more about how embroidery can be combined with modern aesthetics and make people willing to buy it (Especially in Beauty industry and Bridal).
3.Learn more about the factors that make people more willing to buy hand embroidery than machine embroidery.
